Wisconsin/NYC Journalist Launches New Magazine

Below is the information about my new digital publication, The Art is Alive Magazine. If you are one of the following listed below, and are seeking coverage, email me. I have room for more advertisers as well. My direct address is cin4251@gmail.com.

I am a native Wisconsin writer who has been published for years and am also an award winning journalist. I host two radio shows, and have a listening audience of 93,400 listeners in twenty states. My readership in print is 43,000. I am a filmmaker, film judge, and the founder of the Art is Alive Film Festival in NYC, and Co-Founder of Bedford Falls Film Festival (an all black and white film festival). I teach writing, directing, and broadcasting. I also just started casting and writing cabaret/burlesque/one man shows for Off Broadway venues in NYC. I can provide PR services to indie artists of all types. I am also partner to a new clothing line, MG Frocks, which I am pushing everyone I know to help me with! Finally, I am mom to four beautiful children - ages 27, 24, 13 and almost 15. I am moving to NYC once they are 18. I am also very much in love with my partner - who is my partner in life, business, and my #1. He is a NYC actor who is also a photographer and videographer.

The entire intent of this publication is honestly to spotlight some unseen, some under mentioned, and some others that deserve a draw. It will showcase art/artisans, spirits, shopping, and special events. Red carpet gatherings and stories of redemption. Motorcycles, music and movies. Non profits and noteworthy vintage sights. My audience will be readers looking to be moved, motivated, enriched or engaged.  I have the good fortune of working with publicists, media, celebs, etc., so I have access to lots of folks already, however, to me, everyone is a celebrity. Here goes - each issue would have one section of all of the following:

1. Authors - playwright, screenwriter, book writer, copywriter, poet, and newbie writer.
2. Media/publicists
3. Artists - sculptors, painters, jewelry makers, knitters, photographers.
4. Filmers - festival founders, director, cinematographer, actor/actress, costumes, makeup and grip/gaffer.
5. Musicians - cover only, hard rock, soft rock, all original, horn, piano, jazz and singers.
6. Art Reviews - book, film, TV, food and booze.
7, Resources for anyone seeking jobs in any art arena.
8. Bikers - charity, club, products, saloons, tattoo artists, and pertinent motorcycle riders.
9. Spirits - one vodka, one beer, two wines, one real cocktail and best shot brand. Also, open to covering launches and wineries.
10. Old school anything - black and white films, video games, pinball, Hollywood, video stores.
11.Non profits - one brand new, one very old, one on children, one on neurology, one on drug addiction, one on mental illness.
12. Milwaukee and NY film premieres, launches, fashion shows, film festivals.
13. Businesses of all types.

Finally, one celebrity interview per month, and three red carpet events covered a month. I am still mulling over the idea of having columns and covering hospitality.

As to frequency of publishing, it will be on a monthly basis. As to launch and pricing, it is somewhat simplistic. I am purposely launching on Black Friday this year because everyone shops that day. Both my show and the magazine will be on the same platform, so it is a 2-4-1 type of deal. It is a whole $5 per month, and if you buy the year long subscription that day, it is $50 with the first month free.

Few final things to know about me - I am NOT a fan of ego or that sense of entitlement. I am a fan of the indie, despite working with some elite in the industry. I am very passionate about everything and everyone, and I am very protective. I believe that makes me a better writer and person. Further, I detest bullshit - I do not like to be lied to and I hate those who are disloyal. Just keeping it real from the start.

Families of The Mafia TV Review

Families of the Mafia TV Review - Written By Cindy Mich I decided to do a review of this television series in part due to my familiarity with the Gravano family. By this, I mean that I had met and interviewed a few of the cast members of the show  Mob Wives.  Karen and I have not managed to meet, however, Angela Raiola proved to be such a beautiful blessing in person. She was stunning personality wise, and sharp as a tack professionally. I held great respect for her, and so when given a chance to create a piece that pinpoints one of her friends, I grabbed it. Prior to the first time I tuned into  Families Of The Mafia,  I had been hearing such horrid banter. Many fans were furious that Sammy Gravano was not giving up mob secrets during his show appearance. Clusters of other people felt the cast was just capitalizing on the lifestyle. Many made mention that the swearing was significantly excessive. Finally, swarms said this show centers around “spoiled, pampered...
